ReplyDeleteI did volunteer work at hospital for a day as a teacher. But I want to write about what I will do 2 weeks later. I’m going to work at Jeonju international film festival. I’m in invitation team. My team invites celebrities and directors, and helps them to stay in Jeonju comfortably. My team divided in 4 parts. I will work at hotel to help check in and out. I already got some train such as work related to ticket. When the festival starts, I rotated around the 3 different hotels. I’m little bit worried about my English. My English is getting worse so before the festival start, I meet to study basic hotel conversation. Also, I need to master the Jeonju movie load in some case directors ask something about there. So I make plan to walk around there this Saturday with my friend. For 9 days, I may feel tired and be embarrassed but I hope and believe that I can make amazing memories. I want to feel that I actually help people and see them smile.

1 course this semester enrollment was community service. If you do not complete because it does not graduate, was forced to start.
Long distance, gwichanatda. I have a place to serve not afford to be educated in school children in Speak's where there is a lot of programs.
Tutoring children, and that while exercise prejudice against the boy disappeared.
Otherwise it is hard to afford the home they found that there is no need to look at.
Is less intelligent than anyone else, but reading a good kid, so pure, that volunteer was able to get satisfaction in itself.

I did volunteer at Jeonju Hanji culture festival and 농촌봉사활동.
my first volunteer activity is 농촌봉사활동.
frankly speaking, it was to receive a point. but i did my best.
농활 is helping people who engage in farming when their crops are grown. In summer vacation when I 21 years old, my friend and many people in my group went to 진안. there was many ginsengs that we should harvest. there was very hot, so we had a straw hat and drank 막걸리. we appeared TV program "투데이 전북" because we painted pretty picture in the town wall. throught this work, I learned about cooperation and patience.
when I 22 years old, for a 4 days i worked a tent in 한옥마을.
It was very big festival in jeon ju, so i was very nervous. but i did it very well. with many people, made a Hanji paper doll.
Korean paper called Hanji is mainly used for traditional calligraphy. It is very important cultural hertage. i was happy to see when babies are laughing for this experience with me.
Just two times, but I learned many thing. sacrifice, patience, collaboration, care..etc.
In conclusion, I will do other volunteer, if i have a time.

So when I was middle school and high school, I had to volunteered receive my diploma.
In Welfare Facilities, I distributed lunch to elders. The floor was swept and mopped by me.
In library, I re-shelved books. Swept! Mopped!
In center for the disabled, I received education. Swept! Mopped!
Everywhere I went, they made me clean.
Entering the university, I experienced most meaningful volunteer service last children's day.
I worked One-day charity Bazzar in traditional village with ma friend.
It's fun to do deifferent things.
As you know(?), at our collage, student must need social service to graduate,
But I have not yet. I do that next semester.
About a month later, Yeosu Expo will be held from May 12 to August 12.
I will volunteered and acquired some experience from volunteer work.
If I have a chance, I have more experience.
The more experiences I have, the more I will grow up to be good people.

ReplyDeleteLast October, there was a festival in 술박물관 which is situated in 한옥마을, JeonJu. I applied for volunteering in the festival with my friend. We went to 술박물관 in the morning. I was placed in front of the memento and sell them. My friend was arranged in 막걸리 samples and help them to drink by pouring 막걸리(Korea's traditional alcohol) in the glass.
While volunteering, I saw many 막걸리 lover buying souvenir. I had funny situation. There was a group viewing students in elementary school. One of them came to me and asked if he can buy the miniature of 복분자(contains alcohol). And then he added that it's for his parents. He seemed he really wanted to buy it. Also, I thought it would be okay because he said that he won't never drink it and give them to his parents. But manager came and said, "No way. Kids under 19 is not allowed to drink or buy alchol." The boy seemed disapointed. But I couldn't do anything.
We kept standing there for 5 hours and finished it. After going back to hour home, we were so tired that we fell asleep in the bus. Although it was hard to stand there by chilly wind, we felt comfort in our heart. It was good experience.
I have volunteered to teach children at the church around 4 years. Thanks to children, i didn't absent going to church almost all time. I could remind of my childhood with looking children. And, when i looking to their eyes, i feel comfortable. This activity makes me that i look back upon my life. Of course it's was hard to take care of them. They usually don't listen what i say, but i could manage it because they believe in me. While i'm volunteering , i met many other teachers. They were all young guys only 20 to 21. They were also like kids i have teached. So i have been very hard time because i need to take care of them. Even if it is not easy, it's worthwhile. I thank god that i have worked on it.

ReplyDeleteI had volunteered to tutor children in a orphanage with a volunteering community. I took on a 14-year-old girl. When I begin to teach the girl, My goal in tutoring was to be a friend rather than developing studying skills because We're supposed to meet just once a week. She was cheerful and bright so we could be close easily and enjoyed our time for studying. It was great when I knew that she's getting better at studies. Now, I finished the activity there but I hope that she will be a great person and not lose her dreams.
I also thought a lot of things for 6 months as a teacher about our educational system in school again and about how students are interested in studies. Most of all, I thought that teaching is quite rewarding seeing people start to comprehend something right in front of me and progress in their studies.

I did volunteer in the Kkot Dong Nae(꽃동네) 2 days.
Kkot Dong Nae existed in Eum-sung.
We learned about beggar, weak person and disabled person's life.
We went to volunteer disabled person.
met person. sang and danced for them.
Made food and washed the dishes.
After the volunteer. I was very tired physically and mentally.
But that makes me for thanks life. And we understand about disabled person, the gravity of abortion and Love.
During the volunteering, I met O-Oung-jin priest.
He made Kkot Dong nae. And he did volunteering many years.
He wanted to volunteer for more person.
If I have volunteer opportunity, I will go back there.

Therefore, given the service hours must be filled.
In high school Volunteer service hours to fill, so you joined the club.
So I had a lot of volunteer activity.
Helping hands in an orchard, took care of the patient in the hospital.
The children took care of Children's Welfare Center.
At first thought to be mandatory, but later I changed.
It was very rewarding.

After we arrived at there, we picked mop and cleaner and cleaned all parts of Welfare Hall. and it took care the children who are not the parents. It was good that they tried to become friendly with us, and they were cute.
I was very tired physically and mentally. but Something deep within my heart was filled
It was very nice volunteer activity.

I've only been domestic outreach like Senior citizens welfare in the meantime.
This time, I would like to volunteer overseas education.
I'm aware of the Republic of the Philippines, serving the minority elementary education abroad NIV work camp program.
Republic of the Philippines is said to be the ancestor of the ethnic minorities.
A civilization which had 10 years ago, eruptions and their presence in local and they had the right to water and food and you will need the absolute necessities, but in the end did not support only general support steadily. reality is so only the NIV edu dot com is the local ethnic groups in the town built there by selecting of elementary education is mainly divided into the Republic of the Philippines per year, for a total of 20 times team programmes serving overseas.
I have these serving overseas with the assistance of the foreign language and will remain a worthwhile would feel coming.

3 years ago, I volunteered for the first time in my life .
I went to the Young-sil childcare and I taught math to some of children.
That was very hard. Because children had mental retardation, so they didn`t hear what I taught, but play with something.
So, I taught students something thinking what they wanted
I said “If you were done, I would admit you to play outdoors”.
After then, They studied hard.
My most memorable student is a child who were six years old. The kid could judge the whole by a part.
I taught him something easily.
Even though he was the youngest in my classroom, he is very wise and, mature.
My first volunteering is difficult to me.
After teaching, I felt satisfaction.
I saw they grew up through volunteering.
I wanted to help them be great people.
Also, I want to be a very good person by volunteering.

ReplyDeleteI'm not used to have a volunteering. In the past, there is a chance to volunteer in the church. I have a vague memory maybe when I was at middle school. I went to place where there are lots of old people. I think they are houseless and dont have any abilities to have lunch or dinner. So people in our church made lunch for them. I also help them as an assistant. Even though they are houseless they have a good mind and looked happy. They might dont have a family. When I helped them my feel was good. At that time I decided to volunteer at least once a year but I've never done that. After I finished volunteering, I realized that there are lots of people who need to help from others and all people today should think like that people.

ReplyDeleteI volunteered 3 times in university. The first was blood campaign. The second was volunteering in a night school. And the third was volunteering in a home for orphans.
Blood campaign was wearing publicity mask and giving promotion materials to citizens. Volunteering in a night school was only cleaning toilet for 5 months. Volunteering in a home for orphans was teaching child. When I volunteered in a home for orphans, I taught a high school student. But he didn't know elementary school math. Also he didn't concentrate on studying. And every children defied volunteers including me.
I thought that the reason was indifference of teachers who work in a home for orphans. Because they was careless about orphans. And girls of the children swore to us. But the teachers laughed. So, I realized again that important of personality education.

There are many children including infants.
All they are lovely, cute and pretty.
I mainly take care of 4~5 years old because infants are very young.
Only once, I take care of baby.

I generally help orphans studying and play with them.

when i'm a high school student,i had to fill the volunteer work time so i went to the dong office with my friend and ask for give me a volunteer work they gave to me garbage bag and tongs and they ordered to me take off the poster and pick up the garbage for two hours so we wander nearby dong office and we started pick up garbage and take off poster fortunately many poster on telephone pole so we could fill up the garbage bag easily already we fill up the garbage bag we have a little so we ate ice-cream and go back to the dong office i repeat this work some days and finally i can fill up all volunteer work time
due to this expierence i don't throw away on the road
just this volunteer work pick up a trash i can't met people but when i have a volunteer time i want take care of children

ReplyDeleteI have experienced to do voluntary work when I was in the Philipines. I tought "Korean Letter" called "Hangeul" how to write, read and also how to speak basic Korean expression as a volunteer. There was a local student and two Korean volunteers. It was completely exciting and enjoyable, because it was the first time for me I have tought something seriously. It felt like I became a teacher. While doing that, I could realised that many Philipinos are interested in Korean languages, actors and also singers. I found Korean languages precious although I was learning English. I can tell that it was a very great opportunity to notice that, because I have on my own languages. I was very proud of it.

ReplyDeleteA few years ago i went to 태안. Many people gathered in 태안. I'm just for the experience but everyone acted like work to own. The voiunteer work has been hard work but it has been immensely rewarding.
I haven't been to service work to have a meaningful time. In high school I worked for service because I had to. But I know the importance of voluntary work. I want to do a meaningful service work. From now on, i will do a lot of volunteer work.

ReplyDeleteMy first volunteer work time is first garde of middle school. It is motivation that I had to volunteer work by obligation of school activity. That time I felt worrying about how to volunteer.
Volunteering place is around the building in Sports Park. The mission is clean around the building. So I worked so hard that Even people couldn't see a dust. I finished that volunteer work spend about 2 hours. Then I was tired. but I felt proud of self-sacrifice. That time I regret that I did activity on profit purpose until now. I realized that I will be a nonprofit man.
As time goes on without knowingly, I become university student and I belong to 택견 club(sport club). Recently, facilities officials for disabled person come our club room. The officials said " would you mind volunteer work for disabled person? " We reply "of course not." So We are scheduled for MT with disabled person next friday.
I expect that I stimulate my mind through the activity.

Actually, it is not my plan. This is my girlfriend's plan.
It sounds like meaningful for me.
There are some reasons.
Firstly, Indian want to learn Korean. They need us. I can speak English. My girl friend also can speak English. I can enjoy that.
Second, If they have one manwon(10$), They can go to school during a month.
Third, They have purity mind. So, I thought, it is more meaningful for me and my girl friend.
Some of people feel happy by helping. Just like this.

Where grandparents were taking care of things, was very difficult.
The body was hard, but grandparents were things like snacks and patronized the city could feel in the tablets.
Even people who do not force your body uncomfortable and did yisyeotjiman patronize me like chinsonju.
At first, I went to fill volunteer hours, but while leaving the place I felt a strange ppudeuthameul.
It was a good time for me, that feeling was a time full of heart.
And we'd like to serve the community.
In Jeonju International Film Festival that I want to try community service last year was rejected and then apply.

ReplyDeleteIn my first year of university, I often went to senior citizen homes to do some housework as a volunteer. They are senior citizens without relatives to depend on. The state has set up welfare institutions and senior citizens homes to provide board and lodging and free services for them.
In order to make their life more enjoyable, we prepared many programs, such as dancing, singing, martial arts, cross-talk and so on. In addition, we chatted with them and listened to their stories of their past.
From their stories, I realized that they should have had more cares. They need noting but other people’s concerns. Only chatting with them can make them very happy.
At that time, the first thing that came to my mind was my parents who live far away from me. The volunteering job really taught me that it's time for me to grow up. I should be like an adult and spend more time being with them and giving them my concerns and love.

Only, because of to fill the served time.
It was first time I volunteer for the rehabilitation center, I was curious who will I meet and What will I do certain work. And I'm worry about I can help them.
After I arrived their, I ate with disabled person.
The disabled and me ate same food and talk with them. We became intimate.
Before I volunteer, I thought I have to help them even eating food, but I found the difference between disabled and non-disabled is nothing. They are just not feeling themself and slow.
After eathing food, I and my friend cleaned up and give them massage.
also, we became companion to talk.
I have thought I didn't do real volunteer work, but in this opportunity I could experience many things. And I learned from the disabled who work with no complaint.

ReplyDelete2 years ago, I volunteered for the first time in my life, I did a volunteer activity in the village office. I wandered about the streets and weeded out coarse grass. For three hours, adults and children cooperated and weeded out the coarse grass on the streets. Maybe because it was summer, I became tired soon. I felt my temper, too. But, 'Sweet after bitter'. The beverages, light meals which I ate during the break were very delicious.My first volunteering is difficult to me. After volunteering, I felt satisfaction. I volunteered several days ago in Busan-jin station.
There is a volunteer group near the station. I did some activities like washing dishes, getting ready for lunch and distributing food for homeless people. I did those for 6 hours. I was very tired, But I was so interesting. Because that is my first volunteering after being university student. And I could meet new people. There are so various people;professiors, other university students, photographer and lawyer. I was surprising. During volunteering, I thought 'A lawyer can volunteer.'. I had thought that prospered people don't think about a poor person. But they are not. They did activities the same as other people do. I was very impressed. So I think if I am a prospered person, I will volunteer, donating and being humble person.

When i was student in high school, i experienced first blood donation.
It was a proud moment for me.
There are not enough people donating their blood in Korea.
People feel scared about that, but It is safe and only takes about 20 to 30 minutes.
A few months ago, When i saw a posted message that my friend collected cards about donating blood for someone's blood transfusion.
So, i contacted with her and gave my cards.
Then, I was aware of the importance of donating blood.
I hopes more people will donate blood.

When I went the first time in a nursing home, I feel very strange. For the first time grandma and grandpa met was very strange. so I don't talk anything story. But After hours, I got acquainted with adults. They often talked about their child. They miss their child, but was not called once. I heard that and so sad.
When I heard that, I think that I tried to put in a good to my parents.

ReplyDeleteLast year, volunteered at the Doek jin Senior Welfare Center. I assisted a social worker in doing them work in office. And I done a survey to old people. I asked them "Can I ask you a few questions? " then they participated in the survey almost. Some 100% of the old people surveyed say that on further every people, they turned out to be a nice person. I'm very surprised about that.
In Welfare Center they do a lot of things like that dancing and singing, literature, pungmul and so on. I decision I will provide for my own old age when I saw them.
Nowadays, I volunteering in Joen Ju dream start center. In center, they attentions to the poor children. Program was set up last March to support the children of multicultural families through one-to-one mentoring programs. I was so surprised that many universities offer a 1:1 mentoring program to help the poor children.
I care for the children. Her name is Gi Ha Neol. She is 9-years-old. She likes drawing picture very much. I teach her Engilsh and play with her a week for an hour in her home. Ha Neol and she's mother was very kind to me.
Last week I realized that she couldn't read Alphabet. It is tantalizing to me. So I think I'll help her English study. I decided to study English with her, starting to the basics. I have felt myself another man since I started mentoring. I felt a strong sense of responsibility. When I meeting her, I feel as though I were mom. I'll take good care of her with pray and love. I will keep trying my best.

I took on a 8-year -old girl. Actually I don't like infants.
I was scared disabled girl. When I begin to teach the girl, She was difficult to get along . I helped the girl to draw. Eat lunch together also helped the side. The disabled and me ate same food and talk with them. We became intimate.
Also gave blow bubbles like. The weather is very hot weather. Took a picture together. Children with disabilities, which may differ from an ordinary girl could.
After volunteering to go home when the girl was sad. As I was sad.
It was very nice volunteer activity.

Last year, when i was in the philippine. I taught Korean to there's student.
I realized that It's very hard to teach language to foreigner. but It was fun! because of my student. She's very interested in Korean. Also she loves Korea Pop. so she know many K-Pop. even more than me.. Especially she loves Shiny.. so she always talk about Shiny. So I thought hard and had a great idea in order to teach Korean. That's to teach K-Pop. This was effective.

I did volunteer at Han sa rang child welfare facility last year.
I went there twice a week , 2 hours a day,
and in the result I did 30 hours at there.
My duty was helping the childrens to study and evaluated them
about their attitude,score and what they need more.
I flet that the teacher's mind is same of mine.
This works was not easy.
I needed preparing a course of study,patient when I taught them.
but very great experience.
and

I expect it will be easy, but put the book according to the book number it is pretty difficult and take long time. But good thing is due to I volunteer work at library, I have more chance to read a book than before. Other volunteer I had is going to 꽃동네. 꽃동네 is located in ChungCheongbuk-do and there are many people who don't have their home at the same time they have various diseases such as alzheimer, autism, etc. Some people can't eat themselves, can't stand up. Usually there is people who have low intelligence. There are many people who need help , but many people don't know about it. If you want volunteering, I recommend 꽃동네.

I talk about my experience of volunteering now. I never had experience of volunteering. Just, I had volunteering of army. It help resident when natural disaster has broken out. So, I experienced recovery of flood in JinAn, The flood washed away many burden. I return they. it work during the one week day by 8 hour. But it was compulsory volunteering. I am ashamed of the fact that I never have voluntary volunteering.

Clean the room and windows, make lunch with workers.

ReplyDeleteI always wanted to do the volunteer but I was a little bit afraid.
But this year I got a chance to participate in the JeonJu International Film Festival and be a volunteer. It was very challenging to be one of them. To become this volunteer activity I handed out my personal statement and waited for a notice of success. After I got a message that said I passed the first requirement, I had an interview. It was very nervous during the interview. Few days later I got the final notice of success.
It's very hard to volunteer in the JeonJu International Film Festival because many university students want to do it.
This year's JeonJu International Film Festival is coming soon. It's on 2012-4-26~5-4 so if you are not a volunteer you can enjoy the festival.
In this volunteer activity, my part is in the technique field. I have to run a film superimposed dialogue. It is very important part because the audiences pay their money to see the movies.
Last year, I also volunteered JeonJu Korean Paper Cultual Festival. My work was to help people making boxes with Korean Paper.
Other than these two volunteer activities there are lots of volunteers people can try. I think its very important to participate these things during university time.
It's very worthwhile and I learn many things from helping others.

ReplyDeleteI enrollment 1 course last semester. This course is community service. If I do not comeplete this course, It is impossible for graduation. This is our school's regulation. So a chosen program was children's mentoring activity with two friends.
This activity was to support the children of multicultural families through one-to-one mentoring programs. I and friend got two sisters, 10, 13 years old.
When I first met them, I perceived that they was an depressed girls. I and firneds felt empathy for their situation and usually offer them help if they ask.
So, about two months later, sisters began to smile and bright in their life.
I learned from experience how hard the work was.
I is always grumbling, saying this or that is too hard for him. but I found there are a lot of difficult and hard people older than me.
Rather I got I just like to interact with many people and learn from them.
I gained happiness and a sense of achievement by doing this voluntary service.

ReplyDeleteAfter getting into college, I volunteered for about 6 monthis in child welfare Center located in Seo Nosong-dong.
In the center, I mainly read to the children, played with them, cleaned, and did other various chores.
When I was a junior, I have volunteered for about a week in the other center by the camping whit science.
Aside from those, I have volunteered in the public library as a children's corner reading teacher.
It was a service of teaching children about many skills in reading. The kids were very active and made the task a bit demanding but it was very fun and interesting.
I feel that volunteering is truely fruitful and awakening.

Friday. I had to go for my family work.
That day I went to my home in Naju city
so, I didn't have time to write this. I'm sorry
This year, I went to group home,and I done a talk with people who have a obstacle. but, they were looked be happy.
So, I was happy too.
They talked about many things of movies, music, TV programe, etc.
Group home's social worker said that it is very important things to talk with them about anything. Subject is not matter.
After that day, I have be going group hme first and last week of month
I'm so happy to see them. It is valuable to meet them.

ReplyDeleteThe sun is too warm and welfare facilities, exciting the first time I went to the heart. Greeting a brief introduction to welfare facilities and precautions hear haetnimban was headed into the classroom. I did volunteer work at Ongoeul local children's center.
With my 2 university friends.
I taught math to elementary students.
They are 10 years old.
So they lacked concentration.
Elementary school students is difficult to control.
Because they are Liberal.
Elementary math is easy, but good to teach them is difficult.
I felt again that teacher is great.
Then have a chance to do volunteer work if I want to try at welfare facilities.

I cleaned it and took care of the patient and the patient was playing with also.

As we thought they'd be considerate of others and know.

They seemed to me painfully It also not used did not know what to do. And I had little desire to do. So I was passive. ReplyDeleteIn Daejeon, when i was 18 years old, I am part in the citybus service appraisal group.
Ah~ The citybus service appraisal group is literally citybus`s service check.
I board in bus, check driver`s safety driving, keep interval(most korean people think keep bus interval is always very very important), etc.
in fact, when i check service, sometimes, some of bus drivers swear about check citybus service, other persons encourage my behavior.
that, I made the effort to improve the citybus run conditon.
so, finally when i end appraisal, I have a lot of thought, i think this experience is very meaningful for me. and it`s the chance for me that i want to urban planning.

ReplyDeleteI experienced my volunteer work when I was freshman at the high school. Nearby school, there was a shelter for handicapped people So during the vacation, we were encouraged by teacher to go for volunteer
Most of peaple at the shelter were suffered by Cerebral Palsy and Down's syndrome.
Sadly, They couldn't think or feel as normal. I didn't know how they think. They came to me and slapped my cheek so often, but I smiled as I recommended by shelter's menual.
I cleaned up their rooms and bathed their body, and helped them to have a meal. Rarely, I took them out to playground at the shelter and helped them for playing. I think they enjoyed it.
When I finished my period for work, the officer of shelter calculated my volunteer times and gave its confirmed license to me, because the volunteer time was a duty for highschool students same as homework
So at that time, I just participated in volunteer as a duty like homework, Sadly, I coudn't have a passion or philanthropy about that.
And most of high school students at these days think same as me. That's tragic.
Oops. The day passed! but it was Apr 22 when I started to write...

These days I am volunteering at Jeonju Dream start Center.
It is mentoring program. Mentoring program is coaching some of the local children.
I teach one child. He is twelve years old. and he is very smart.
One day, I feel sad. Because I asked him what his dream is, then he said "I have no dream" When that words flew. I can't talk any words. So I decided I make him dreams.
I trust to hear his dream.

I have experience abuot volunteer when i went the philippines.
That was what do scuba diving.
At that time , I and my classmates went to do volunteer Nalrusuwan in the philpines. And this voluteer needed scuba diving license.
We already had license about that . So we could enter this volunteer. I think it was very fantastic volunteer to us.
While we did volunteer we could see a lot of colorful fish and coral reef.
Now sometimes i think this volunteer memory .
It was good working and i want to recomend to you.
in the future, if i have chance similar this volunteer, i am going to enter it, too.

ReplyDeleteUniversity to volunteer for the first time I have come. Anti-drug campaign headquarters was where I went. Where the drug to people who are educated, that was where the campaign. For the first time I went there one day, including the cleaning and the phone was receiving. But I have learned a lot from attending there.
Smoking is bad for our bodies, when the body breaks down drug addiction, etc. I have learned a lot. Alcohol and tobacco, but tobacco is more severely felt.

our group's role is playing a Marionette.
this Marionette called a Red Cap GgockGgockIe.
it's very fun story. so children's are very satisfied
this marionette is a campaign to prevent stray child
our main target is 3~6 years old child.
so when we playing a marionette, childrens are very concentrate.
and when we start a summer vacation, we are go to country beside in JeonJu.
we help to peasant. it's too fun program in vacation.

I was in high school I went to the scene with my mother has experienced water damage repair. There was a kangwondo anywhere.
there has been devastated by the storm.
Rice farmers, vinyl house, their house, and all was collapsed.
I was heart and soul of the recovery operation. They thanked us.

That volunteering was the most impressive in my life^^
