I want to tell you who Abebe Bikila you may not know is. He was borned in Ethiopia. In his time, many people know what Abebe did in his life. what he did is that he got two gold medal in Olympic Marathon game. But almost all people didn't know that he got one more gold medal in Olympic Archery game for handicap player after having got paralyzed from waist down from car accident.
Now i'll begin to tell you his life story shortly. He was a royal bodyguard for king of Ethiopia at that time. Because his mother showed him a newspaper article about a man dealing with a severe disability. That was a turning point of his life. He realized that his changed life inspire the hopeless. It is the story about Ban ki Moon. I'm sure that you have heard about him. After I read the book my hearts are pumped and I really surprise to know him. The time he goes a elementary school, he is very interested in english. Most of his friends are interested in only something to Play except study. But he is different his friend. It is too difficult to come across a english when 1950s he was a student. Nevertheless he made an effort to come into contact an english and study hard. - 7 years ago, so, When I before 20, I had a master. Actually he is kind of teacher, but I want to tell him "Master". Yes, He was my life teacher. When we met first time, he was tutor. He just teached to me two subject. One was math, the other one is physics. that time, I didn't interest math and physics, but his way was different. he didn't teach to me. he just wanted to discuss with me. whatever topic was, it doesn't matter. he was making interesting from me. After 1 month, He teach to me about math and physics, and the amazing thing was that I was changed by him. I could like math, also I could understand about physical situration. I want to tell you who Abebe Bikila you may not know is. He was borned in Ethiopia.
In his time, many people know what Abebe did in his life. what he did is that he got two gold medal in Olympic Marathon game. But almost all people didn't know that he got one more gold medal in Olympic Archery game for handicap player after having got paralyzed from waist down from car accident.
Now i'll begin to tell you his life story shortly.
He was a royal bodyguard for king of Ethiopia at that time. One day, he got a chance to participate in the Olympic Marathon game instead of player who was suppose to play. And he won the game on bare foot. Also New record was set by one bare feet guy in the Italy.
And also he got a gold medal in next Olympic in the Japan.
Until now, This is what people know.
After a few years later, he got into an car accident. And I was paralyzed from waist down.
But he didn't frustrate. He tried to think the difficulty he faced positively.
"My legs can't run anymore but i got arms." This is what he said at that time.
And he got a gold medal from Olympic Archery game.
During his funeral ceremony, 65,000 people came to praise for his mind of challenge and an iron will.
"I think that rather than competing with other people, i have to overcome my suffering first of all. And when i overcome suffering and run to the end, which is connected to victory."

That year was like many publishers had absolute minds that children's book could never be sold. So they couldn't accept Rowling's story. Also she had a hard time in her marriage before she releases her book. But she didn't give up and always challenge for her life. In the end, she could publish her book and her book published in the whole country. Her conviction is that 'Failure is very important'.
Like everybody they always want to talk about the success, not failure. But she says 'if you know how to fail and how to use fail is the way to get a success life'.

He has the reputation of an Australian preacher.
He is also motivational speaker.
He is born with a rare disorder. It's the absence of all four limbs.
For his disability, he even tried to drown himself, when he was a child.
But his parents' love makes him to overcome his disablilty.
Vujicic changed his mind. Because his mother showed him a newspaper article about a man dealing with a severe disability.
That was a turning point of his life.
He realized that his changed life inspire the hopeless.
So he become preacher, so he talks hope, self-love.
Many people are affected by his life.

I want tell you about "Ji sung Park".
um.. I love chelsea FC but I'm Korean before.
As you know, Ji sung Park is famous player not only here in Korea but also across the world. because of him, we're very proud.
He born in Seoul, raised in Suwon. from childhood, he showed talent. so, started professional player at a young age.
In 2001, he joined Japanese club Kyoto Purple Sanga. and his potential to make the leap from Asia to Europe was spotted by Guus Hiddink, who coached the South Korea during the World Cup semi finals in 2002.
People and I also didn't believe him. until saw his goal in game with Portugal. he came to sudden prominence in the 2002 world cup and we called 'Hiddink's the Crown prince'.
Later that year, he followed Hiddink to PSV in Netherlands club.
Whatever, He has become an important member of Manchester United since joining the club in the summer of 2005.
His success not just been made. he born in poor house which do not learn soccer and he had flatfoot that bad to soccer player.
but he is star now. maybe he will be made continuous efforts by himself. As we don't know how many effort.

He's age 30 and he's job is ceo of trade company. when he was 17 to 20 age, he was not good at study. He didn't interested in study.
so after he graduate high school, he had a tour round the world. and he felt something that he want to work in U.S so He got a own goal. he leave in koera and go to U.S he leaned speaking English and gone an university. At first he felt so lonely but he thought that i have a goal so i had to bear pain of loneliness. He did speak English and study hard. and he challenged to get a job that is trade company. most of interview was not passed him. He did't gave up. finally he passed interview. So he worked 2 years. and he challenged that be intern in la Organizacion de las Naciones Unidas(U.N) he competed with 20thousand people. He came through a competition of 10thousand to 1 to get this job intern. he worked 3years in U.N and then he published trad company. He achieved his goal. I think that it is important to make a goal when i heard the cousin's story. A person have a dream and go forward on a one step and one step. It can be reached the destination. So I will determine my way and draw a guideline in my goal. I was very impressed. I always think my goal and never give up.

A last year, When i was a freshmen, i received this book as a gift from my friend.
The book was written by Kim ran do. He is a consumer studies professor at Seoul National Univ. His major was law at first. but he was not interested in law.
So, he neglected his studies. And he changed his major law to public administration. He had interest this study, but faild in the examination continuously. Then, he gave up study for exam and just studied.
After he had degrees, he wanted to became a professor of public
administration, but he became a consumer studies professor!
It is amazing!

He was poor. He drop out even university. In those days, he was afraid. But, he became a successful man. Because, he have a firm conviction and he win a battle with his afraid. The reason why I chose him to be a successful person is that he is a self-made man. I heard his childhood story. He was very poor but he had his 3younger brothers, two sisters. He is the firstborn so he felt some pressure.
When he became older his parent had nothing to hand over to him.
He enter university and majored business administration but then he learned about landscape architecture. He was very sick so he underwent a heart transplant operation but he overcome every obstacles in his life.
His personality is caution and a perfectionist and even though his age is 54 he strives for his dream. At the moment he is in the doctoral course in Jeon Buk university majoring landscape architecture.
He is now at the top in his field. His dream to be an architecture came true. I always look at him with admiration.

In this war, he was great victory against the Japanese navy.

I introduce Ji Sung Park by a man of success. He is currently a member of the MU. He is football player. In Korea, as well as now recognized player in the world. But his efforts were tremendous.
When 2002 World Cup, he was not unnoticed player. However his abillity founds by Guus Hiddink. As a result, he put the winning goal in Porutugal. His team were able to advance to the round of 16 World Cup. Later he was part of a team psv.
2003 due to injury, he could not demonstrate his skills. As a result of his own fans were booing. Has been criticized even to his teammates. But he gradually regained his skills. He had become a major player. His fans made a song 'We song Park'.
Eventually move to MU, he had his plays. He is currently Manchester United, achieving 200 games. He is in charge of the most important positions in the team.
Ji Sung Park worked hard. So I think he will successed

Let me introduce a successful person I know.
She is my boyfriend's 3rd older sister. When she was high school girl, She didn't get grade well. She was frustrated. So, She decided to make points. Finally, She won the third grade! And A homeroom teacher recommended her to mate.
After four years, She became the 3rd mate! She had so many problems. First, What she is woman was unfavorable. And, She had tiredness in strength because She had to check the state of 240 of fire extinguishers. But, she overcame these problem with tenacity. In the end, She made much money.
After 1 year, She went to the Philippines to study with her money. And She gave her mother an allowance. She was smiling from ear to ear.

I want to introduce 'Rain'. He is a singer.
Rain's real name is Ji Hoon Jeong.
His mother passed away when he was in high school.
Rain stood up upon sadness and strove for his dreams.
He danced, practiced singing, and had so much hard times, but he overcame all that for his mother.
Later on, Rain meets Jin Young Park, a producer.
He recognizes Rain's talent and starts training him.
Rain's dancing and singing progresses day after day.
At last, Rain makes his debut in the year of 2002.
People loved him, and so his debut was successful.
With that, Rain continues to rise.

Well.. I think that people who live one's life most successfully is CEO in Samsung, Li geon hwe, The first founder.
abotu 2~30 years ago, The company which named samsung wasn't exicted. that time, Korea's economy was not developmented, so Seoul is not concentrated. Although, Former President Park Chung-hee has many economical developing effort, that changes was not significant. At that time, Li geon hwe who have no power but have great think and significant idea was appeared in front of America.
At first, they did not think he. because, At that time, he did not speak English very well. But he wanted to make South Korea very nice nation.
So he studied English hard. Despite he often ignored, he went to them. Eventually they adopted him, and animate Korea.
So, I'm very impressed about his effort

ReplyDeleteum.. I want to introduce Nick Vujicic~ you know he has rare disease.. so.. he doesn't have his arms and legs, so he wanted to suicide, but he met god and now he is telling about individual importance!
I chose Nick because, although he din't have much money and wealth, he conqured his limitation, and I think conquring myself is best thing in all over the world!
He couldn't eat easily food, and people look at him with prejudice.. in my case, I hurted my leg before, and I couldn't move high easily , and I thought havig abnormal body is very uncomfortable and even miserable.. so I can know little conquring abnormal body is very hard.
But now, he is best hope to student who has their heart injury. And I want to heal hurted people , because I had hurt in mind and now I conqure that like Nick.

How to be a successful one? It's not that easy to say. Get crazy at what you're doing. There's a lot of successful artists, singers, composers, poets, writers, comedians, great sports player, business person, inventor, and designer. There are so much jobs in the world, and there are the best person in every vocations.
I want to introduce Steve Jobs. He was the CEO of Apple Inc.
I am really sorry for he's gone. The reasons that I like Apple Inc. and Steve Jobs was I have an Ipod, which I really love and I always looking forward to Apple's new item or applications. I just wonder Apple will do fine as much as the Apple 'with Steve Jobs'. I hope they do their best.
Steve Jobs must had really critical sufferings when he leave his own company due to his own people. If I were him, maybe I won't endure it, but he did. How strong person he is! He found another company after he's dismission. He did a great job, and he get back his company again.

The reason why he became successful is that he personally thinks that he fulfills his own life although he does not earn a lot of money. he told me that he had had an opportunity to be a supervisor before he became a professor. However, some people might say that he must have had a regret. As I mentioned you before, he is completely satisfied with his life. To become successful, you need to do what you want to do. He is well known as a great professor in international engineering conference and he is now well-organised. He always does his best even though something is so difficult.
I heard that he had some problem with his degree. He wanted to stay in school after his Undergraduate course. At that time, he had to go to the army, but his professor waited for him for few years, then he was able to keep staying and studying in university for Master`s degree and Doctor`s degree.
I can tell that he is the most successful person I know, because I have never met a successful person like him.

ReplyDeleteNow, I tell you 박근칠 professor who I always thank for treating my father's disease. He is a lung cancer specialist and last winter, he is on TV program called “명의” that used to show docters dedicated to their patients.
2 years ago, my father knew that he got non-small cell lung cancer in stage 3. My family shocked that fact and we thought the result must have mistakenly been wrong. Because he has not smoked so far. Anyway, we tried to find excellent doctor so my father could met the doctor and he has gotten better these days.
When I had watched the program, I have known that 박근칠 always studys how to treat the disease completely and tries to help the patients to be encouraged. Even if he is old , he has sense of mission about his work and constantly study. That's why I respect him and I reflect on myself about attitude toward learning.

He is my best friend in my hometown. And He and I graduated from the same elementary school, middle school and high school.
He only liked painting cartoons, playing game with me and thinking about very little things.
As time goes on, We becaome high school students.
In 1 grade, our life was simliar to before.
But, in 2 grades, my friend told me 'I will study and enter very nice university.'
I was laughing out loudly. I thought that a man could't be changed for 2-years.But he was not.
He studied very hard all day. And change was appeared.
I saw the change. So I decided to study in 3 grades. But it was late.... Kidding :-)
Anyway, He entered very very nice university.
After entering the university, he told me 'Study is very difficult and needs to patience. I think about my life after 40 years later. So I can study hard!'

When he is young, he is very shy boy. So his parent worried that he is too shy. But when he play the soccer, he isn't shy and he is active.
However he is not tall. so when he is highschool student, his coach told him that he will tall and healthy. From then on he try to healthy and tall. Thanks to try he will be global soccer player.
He is short better than other players but his ability is the best.

I'll introuduce my older brother.
He hasnt had a great score at school and he went to Junbuk National University. He studyed in major of sport sience. When he was at high school, he liked playing with his freinds and playing soccor. I think he didn like studying ans wasn't good at studying. But there is a point of changing. He has had a different mind for his life since he finished Military Service so suddenly he wanted to go abroad for studyng English. I dont know why he wanted that so far. Finally he went to New Zealand. It's your country. :) Anyway he's studyed there for more than 3 years and he is still studying in New Zealand. He goes to an university. I've heard he has studyed hard. I forgot what major he is in.. Now he is really good at English.
For me in this story he is successful, compare with before and I envy my brother.

Do you know 'tae-suk Lee' by any chance? This person is known for Schweitzer of Sudan. tae-suk Lee is a doctor and Catholic priest.
He went to Tonj city in Sudan. There was devastated by civil war for a long time. He see it. Then he realize seriousness of this city. So He decided that he made better this environment before.
he went there. Then he built hospital with straw and soil. This hospital is used for dying of malaria and cholera patients mainly.
Also, he went to around the village for people with limited mobility.
Secondly, He try to enlighten Native African. So he teach element, middle, high school education. and he found that music is best effect to treat the war wounded indigenous. Then he made the band 'brass band'. Before long, his band very famous. so his band invited Government Events.
the others... he sacrifice various area.
Some day he noticed that he has colorectal cancer. Unfortunately, cancer state is end-state. not long after he died.
I'm impressed by his sacrifice. his story was an opportunity to reflect on my mind.

My dream is entomologist, who studys about the insects.
So I respect one person who spent his whole life for the insects.
His name is Jean Henri Fabre. Fabre is his last name, but most koreans know him as Dr. Fabre.
He was born at the small village at the contryside of Southern France. His house condition was not so good. his parents were poor shop owner.
Young Henri was interested in nature, not only insects. He loved whole nature.
Although poor condition, he studied hard, and became a teacher of the middle school.
But at that time, the payment for teacher was not so good, even lower than field worker. During the teacher, Fabre wrote several theses and essays about insects and other natural creatures.
after retired the teacher, Fabre moved to another village names Serignan. And he bought a wide weedy wasteland nearby his house, and spent his whole life for writing book of Entomology. That land was the treasure land for him.
He studied about life of insects, and their movements.
It took for almost 20 years to complete that books. during that time, he became old and weak. And unfortunately, several childs that he loved were dead.
But he didn's stop to writing because of his passion.
That books is known as 'Entomological Souvenirs by Fabre' among the world. It tells us about life of beetles, crickets, scorpions, moths, and else.
I think that, In these days, we need a great dream and huge passion about our goals to achieve like him. So I respect him.

ReplyDeleteI want to introduce about Mina Son. Many people know her that she is a famous announcer. But, Now, she became a writer who writes her own essays and novels. Oneday, I watched a TV program that introduces a trendy life by chance. I can know that she stays in Paris. As I see her life, I feel she enjoys her life and she is happy. Then I want to know more about her. So I read her essay very interestingly.
As everyone knows, she was a promising announcer in Korea. But she have dreamed that want to be a essay writter. So she quit her job and leaved for Spain. I think it is not easy to forgive keep her reputation because especially 'announcer' is known powerful and attractive job. But she chose new life. She had made a decision that challenge for her real dream.
In Spain, She studied graduate course in university of the Barcelona. She learned journalism and also a lot of things. She experienced spanish culture, good friendship and travelled countries in Europe. In the end, she could publish her own essay,'Spain, Your are free.' and became an icon that challenge for dream.
I think she got a succeed because she was brave. Most people live their life as they can do. But Mina Son pursued dream even what she couldn't do. That is why she achieves her dream. I hope I also try to hard effort for my dream and challenge for what i really want to do.

ReplyDeleteI'd like to introduce a man to overcome obstacle. This man's name is Nick vijicic. He was born in Australia, 1982. Nick vijicic was a healthy baby, with just one hitch, he had no limbs. He born of suffering from rare diseases, and his past was very frustrating. Three times he was desperate enough to attempt suicide, his parents, "a special little boy You," words that gave him power. He's always worth, purpose and courage in the hearts always contain three things: challenges and pushed the whole thing. And he who communicates to the world was happy.
In last month 17th, After all he married. Nick Vuicic is that even though he doesn't have arms and legs, he grew up with so bright personality and now moves so many people by giving lectures. So I respect him for his courage and challenge.
Nick vijicic said, "The challenge will fail, but again, not a failure, not the limitations of my life," he exclaimed. We also must think There is no failure in our lifes. It's a part of the process of success as well.

ReplyDeleteWhat is standard of successful person? Some people says the person only earning lots of money or having honor is a successful person. But I think the person setting the goal and achieving their purpose is really successful person.
When I was a middle school student, I read the book ‘바보처럼 공부하고 천재처럼 꿈꿔라’. It is the story about Ban ki Moon. I'm sure that you have heard about him. After I read the book my hearts are pumped and I really surprise to know him.
The time he goes a elementary school, he is very interested in english. Most of his friends are interested in only something to Play except study. But he is different his friend. It is too difficult to come across a english when 1950s he was a student. Nevertheless he made an effort to come into contact an english and study hard. For example, one day he goes to factory just to learn an english to foreigner. And he asked foreigner how to read. He was a quiet type student but he's quite different in english. English and whatever study is he became active. Finally he becomes a diplomat and now he is the UN secretary general. Because he achieves his dream, I think he is a successful person. Additional he gets a honor and money too!!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteI will talk about the person I admire the most. This person is Mr. Ban Gi Mun, the secretary general to the United Nations. The reason why I respect him is because he is UN secretary general less than his effort process and lust to be a diplomatic official. He is a very accomplished man. Especially the article called "Study like your stupid and dream like your a genius' showed me the way he studied, how he lived, and what efforts he made to become a political leader. It also allowed me to think about my study habits and how Mr. Ban thought.During his highschool years he heard a speech from Mr Byun young tae, and began to dream of becoming a political figure. In his second year of high school, his teacher recommended him for the Vista program. Of course he won first place. This allowed him, in his third year of higschool, to meet President Kennedy. Kennedy asked Mr. Ban 'what is your dream', he answered with no hesitation at all that he wanted to become a political figure.
Finally he reached his goal, he became a political figure. This proved that those who have the skills can not win those who have the heart to put the effort in.
So, I would like to respct and be alike to him, which have a strong will to acheive something.

But my parent and I don't like that. Though we against that she began going to auditions secretly. Later, we know that she failed an audition. But She never give up her dream that to be an music artist.
She Became high school student in Chungbuk Arts high school. She's major in gayageum, Korean zither with twelve strings. When she was a high school senior, she had apply to the Seoul university(SNU). But She was failed to enter a university. When she didn't make it to the college of her choice, she decided to study and prepare to reapply next year. She never give up. At last, this year she was accepted to college. When we know her passed that, we jumped for joy altogether. and she also bubbled over with excitement.
I think she is successful persons who I know. I'm very proud of her. When she was a repeater, sometimes it's very hard to prepare for her. when that she’d wanted to give up, She blindly had to go SNU. At school she is eagerly prayed to God for pass. ReplyDeleteMy admire Jong Wook Lee. He is the first Korean International Organization's secretary general. He was WHO's sixth executive.
After graduating from Medical College, he went to the Samoa Islands and did medical volunteer with his wife. He entered into WHO after the master's course in the Hawaii University. He did influenza director in WHO's head office and met celebrities to persuade them to donate in vaccin. Working in WHO, he was trusted by many peoples. As a result, he was elected for WHO's sith executive. His pledge was to give Videx(AIDS vaccin) to 3 million underdeveloped citizens. But this was not easy. Becuase of the shortage of budget, he tried to get money by telling people about his project. He always seated in economy class and go to business trip with just two entourage. Unfortunately he died by cerebral infarction while in his term of secretary general.
I think he's worth of salt becuase not only he tried hard to acomplish his promise but also he didn't used the budget in unnecessary things. After meeting him in the book, I got my dream to get in the WHO and be an executive in there.

he was born in January eighth 1942. that day was a three hundred anniversary of death of galileo galilei. in October 1959 he metriculate in physics in University College, Oxford. after three year, he left for graduate work at Trinity Hall, Cambridge.
but unfortunately, Hawking started developing symptoms of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS it known as Lou Gehrig's disease). doctors said he would not survive more than two or three years. however he never gave up or despaired. instead, he devoted to his research more and more.

Hi! I’m saemi in class 5. I want to introduce Biya han. She is famous essay (travel) writer and volunteer. Mostly, she is working as an emergency relief worker. She becomes famous because of her world travel book. Before she became traveler, she worked at an international company. But she quitted for her dream, travel all over the world by working. She has written a lot of book. I’ve read two of her books impressively. According to her book, she was poor so she had to save money for college so she had to sleep less than other people; she has slept for six hours per two days. This habit continues to this day. In the end she graduate college and studied overseas. Also she read a lot of book when she has free time even in a war area. She experienced really dangerous situation. But she never stops helping people. I like archery.
Among them is the most respected players Kimsunyeong.

And, she won a Three-gold medal in olympic.
In fact, archery, South Korea as well.
There are a lot of players have ever won a gold medal.

He overcome tribulations by readng. He was a pessimist. He want to be successful person whitout any effort. He was behind his co-worker at company. At that time, he met someone who is his reading teacher in the future. Teacher reading 300 books a year. He learn reading skill and reading habit.
At first, reading 33 books 100 days.
A kind of books is whatever you like.
A second, reading 100 books a year.
A kind of books is your field.

it's a first his job and then he was being CEO as the campany of the virus becuase he was interested in the compuer besides i wanted to contribute our society. Althogh he suffered a hard time during leading his company, he led it very well for 10 years more. Now he is teaching the management as the professor at the university and then a lot of people are respecting him because he has gave them trust and advices since he led his company.
there is the election on april 11 so many people are interested in his action and speech particularly to politician becuase he can make people change their mind.. Anyway he is included as hot people ....

Yes, He was my life teacher.
When we met first time, he was tutor. He just teached to me two subject. One was math, the other one is physics.
that time, I didn't interest math and physics, but his way was different. he didn't teach to me. he just wanted to discuss with me. whatever topic was, it doesn't matter. he was making interesting from me. After 1 month, He teach to me about math and physics, and the amazing thing was that I was changed by him. I could like math, also I could understand about physical situration.
When We could believe each other. He told to me about his life.
When He was 20, his major is electric engineer, I tried to be business man so many time. Some of business was failed, some of business was sucessful.
He could earn the money alot, and he could do whatever he want.
when he was 40, he was looking for the thing what he likes.
He choose a business tutor. He is enjoying his job still theseday.
My point is,
